The AgLaw research group of the DIRPOLIS (Law, Politics, Development) Institute of the Sant'Anna School, together with the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS) and under the patronage of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS), is organizing the "Food, Climate, Energy" seminar cycle.

The first event of the initiative, titled " Clima, cibo, energia: la necessità di un approccio integrato, la ricerca di soluzioni normative" and held by Eloisa Cristiani, is scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023, at 2 p.m., in Aula 4 of the Sant'Anna School's main campus. The schedule of subsequent events is as follows:

- "One Health e diritto: sentieri tracciati e percorsi inesplorati", held by Francesca Coli, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, Aula 2 Toscanelli, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m;

- "Crisi energetica: le ragioni di un’emergenza”, held by Alessandro Volpi, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Classroom 6 Headquarters, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m;

- "Lo spreco alimentare: le regole nella transizione verso modelli agro alimentari sostenibili", held by Gioia Maccioni, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Classroom 2 Toscanelli, 2 to 4 p.m;

- "La sfida della produzione integrata di cibo ed energia nell'ottica dello sviluppo sostenibile", held by Giuliana Strambi, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Classroom 5 Headquarters, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The seminar series aims to highlight the need for an integrated approach, from the perspective of law, linking the issue of environmental sustainability with that of food security and sustainable forms of agriculture, against the backdrop of the energy crisis.

With this in mind, the programs analyze the reasons for the energy emergency, talking about the legal rules of integrated food and energy production, food waste, the characteristics of the new model of One health and its potential for application on the regulatory level.

The seminars are free entry, compatible with the capacity of the classrooms.
